We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation or a magnifier. Here’s where we are and how to reach us if something isn’t working for you.

Our commitment
We’re working to make this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat this as ongoing work rather than something we finish once. This statement describes where we are today, honestly, including where we still have work to do.
What we’ve built in
- A “skip to main content” link for people navigating by keyboard, so you can bypass the header on every page
- A consistent heading structure and page landmarks, so the site can be navigated with a screen reader or a keyboard
- A visible focus style on form fields and other interactive elements, so you can see where you are when navigating by keyboard
- Descriptive text on meaningful images and empty alt text on purely decorative ones, so a screen reader doesn’t read out something with no content
- Labelled form fields on our quote and contact forms
- A layout that adapts to different screen sizes and remains usable when you zoom in
- Colours chosen with readability in mind, and no reliance on colour alone to convey information
Where we still have work to do
- We haven’t yet completed a full audit of the site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, so there are likely gaps we haven’t found ourselves
- Some decorative icons aren’t yet marked up so that screen readers skip over them, which can add noise when reading a page
- Some on-page transitions, such as the header’s colour change on scroll, don’t yet respect a visitor’s operating system setting to reduce motion
We’re working through this list, and we’ll update it as we make progress.
The law and this statement
Some Canadian accessibility laws, such as the federal Accessible Canada Act and Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), set requirements that depend on an organization’s size, sector and where it operates. Rather than work out exactly which requirements apply to us, we’re aiming at the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard that most of those laws point to, as a baseline for every visitor regardless of where they’re browsing from.
This statement covers this website. It doesn’t cover websites we link to, such as an insurer’s or broker’s own site, which are responsible for their own accessibility.

Contact us through our contact page and mark your message “Accessibility,” and include the page you were on and what happened, if you can. We’ll do our best to respond quickly and to fix genuine barriers.

We review this statement as we make changes to the site. When we update it, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top.
